Miko is a Registered Social Worker in Hong Kong, with practical experience in both frontline social services and local job referral. While serving at an elderly community centre, she saw first-hand the significant physical and emotional pressure faced by caregiving families. She also holds a professional certificate in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and has led activities in primary schools, giving her a clear understanding of the challenges faced by working parents.
Drawing on her experience handling workforce referrals at a local employment agency, Miko understands the blind spots in traditional agency operations and the expectation gaps that commonly arise between employers and helpers. She co-founded HomeBuddy Link with her partner to combine the person-centred values of social work with practical, efficient recruitment, helping Hong Kong families ease their care burden while safeguarding helpers' labour rights.
